WHAT WE'RE GONNA TALK

Just like in a cafe, we talk about everything. Nothing heavy. Just talk over a cup of coffee.

DEPRESSION LINKED TO DIET SODA

A new study has linked sweetened beverages -- especially diet drinks -- to an increased risk for depression.

Researchers tracked the beverage consumption of over 250-thousand adults ... Then followed up ten years later.

People who drank more than four cans of soda, iced tea or punch a day were at least 30-percent more likely to develop depression than those who drank none.

And that risk was even greater for people who drank diet versions of these beverages.

It's important to note this study only suggests a link -- and does not prove cause and effect or indicate sweetened drinks lead to the condition.

The news was more promising for coffee drinkers.

Participants who drank four cups of joe per day were 10-percent less likely to be diagnosed with depression.
