Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, has partnered with The Dark Knight Rises to launch "The People of Gotham City Sweepstakes." In preparation for The Dark Knight Rises July 20 debut and starting today, Kaspersky Lab invites Batman fans and comic enthusiasts to help Batman stop the villain Bane's newest threat and protect the people of Gotham City.
Participant engagement is the only way to help Batman in this quest created by Kaspersky Lab. It's easy, and no purchase is necessary. Participants can enter the sweepstakes online, and by sharing an entry via Facebook and Twitter, they can receive up to an additional 10 entries.
Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and founder of Kaspersky Lab, said: "Like the Dark Knight in his struggle against the insidious threats posed by Bane, Kaspersky Lab fights the equally insidious threats posed by cybercriminals all around the world; in this way we're both quite simply 'here to save the world.' I think joining forces with The Dark Knight Rises is a compelling way to engage Batman fans across North America and reinforce our mission to fight cybercriminal activity around the world."
More than 50 prizes will be awarded over the seven week sweepstakes, while one grand prize winner will receive a customized "Batman New York City Experience." The package includes round-trip, air transportation for two to New York City, hotel accommodations and other exclusive activities--a helicopter tour of New York, dinner at the Gotham Bar & Grill, a personal hand-to-hand mixed martial arts training session, a True Crime tour of New York, $800 spending money, a Sony Vaio Z series laptop, a two-year subscription to Kaspersky ONE internet security, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Blu-Ray movies, a Kaspersky gift bag and a life-size adult Batman costume (modeled after "The Dark Knight Rises" costume).
In addition to the sweepstakes, the microsite also encourages fans to enlist the help of others and tracks Batman's fight against Bane. Participants and fans can follow the excitement via Kaspersky America's Facebook page and on Twitter using #GothamCityNews and #LiveLikeBatman.
